This strategy scans for stocks showing bullish reversal, supported by strong trend strength (ADX), volatility expansion (Bollinger Bands), and momentum recovery (RSI).
Strategy Description
Scanner Conditions
- Latest screener close above the latest screener open, indicating a bullish candle and immediate buying interest.
- Latest screener volume above the previous (P-1) screener volume, confirming rising participation during the move.
- ADX (14,14) value above 25, signaling a strong and active trend.
- Close price crossing above the Bollinger Lower Band (20 SMA on close, 2 standard deviations), indicating volatility expansion and bullish breakout.
- RSI (14 on close) crossing above the 30 level on the latest tick, showing momentum shifting from weak to bullish territory.
Additional Considerations
- Timeframe: Best suited for 5-minute timeframe for intraday scalping.
- Ideal Market Sessions: Performs best during 9:30–10:30 AM and 2:00–3:00 PM.
- Avoid Sudden Spikes: If there’s a huge price move in the last two to four ticks, stay cautious as volatility may fade quickly.
- Volume Confirmation: Monitor volume closely - Momentum is trustworthy when supported by good volume.
