The Advance-Decline Ratio (A/D Ratio) is a simple indicator that shows how many NSE stocks are going up compared to how many are going down on a particular trading day.
It helps traders and investors understand the overall strength (Market Breadth) of the stock market. Instead of looking only at the Nifty 50 or Sensex, the A/D Ratio shows whether most NSE-listed stocks are participating in the market's move.
