RSI Bearish Range Shift Scanner | Find Strong downtrend Stocks

TSR RSI Bearish Range Shift Scanner

What is RSI Bearish Range Shift?

Bearish Range Shift occurs when the Relative Strength Index (RSI) moves from a bullish range into a bearish range and starts holding below key resistance levels, typically RSI < 60. On pullbacks, the RSI faces resistance near the 50–60 zone and then resumes its downward move. This behavior indicates that sellers are in control and the stock is likely to remain in a downtrend.

TSR Bearish RSI Range Shift scanner readily identifies such stocks, and you can view the results in both graphical and data views.

Use the Charts in the Screener results to observe how the RSI behaves during strong downtrends. You'll notice that the RSI repeatedly gets rejected from the 50–60 zone before moving lower.

Note that RSI Range Shift Scanner parameters, like RSI Level can be customised in this scanner.

Trading Strategy

  • Entry: Consider entering a short trade when the RSI gets rejected from the 55-60 level, confirming that bearish momentum is intact.
  • Stop-loss: Exit the trade if the RSI rises above 65, as this may indicate that the bearish range has failed.
  • Profit Target: Consider booking profits when the RSI falls below 30-25, or trail your stop-loss to ride a strong downtrend.

How to Use This Scanner

  • TSR Bearish RSI Range Shift scanner identifies stocks where the RSI has shifted into a bearish range, helping you find stocks with weakening momentum before the next downward move.
