Potential Breakout Stocks strategy identifies stocks near resistance with rising momentum and volume, likely to make a strong upward move if they breakout.

Strategy Description -

This strategy compares tick ranges, selecting stocks where the highest of the last 30 ticks from the latest high is more than 2% above the highest of the 10 ticks from 30 ticks earlier, showing strong upward momentum.

It selects stocks where the latest close is at least 1% above the highest of the last 180 ticks from the previous tick, indicating a potential breakout.

To ensure reliability, it also filters for stocks with current tick volume greater than the 25-tick average volume, indicating strong participation and buying pressure.

Additional Considerations -

• Timeframe: This strategy works best on a daily timeframe.


• Confirm with Volume: Monitor volume closely - Momentum is trustworthy when supported by good average volume.


• Avoid Sudden Spikes: If there’s a huge price move in the last two ticks, stay cautious as volatility may fade quickly.
